Dr Chris ReevesDr Chris Reeves

Chris is the founder/Director of Parkdale Osteopathic Clinic, and has been providing osteopathic care for the Bayside community over the past 16 years.

Chris has grown up in Parkdale, attending St. John Vianney's Primary School and St. Bede's College, and completed his osteopathic studies at Victoria University. He has also previously worked as a supervising clinician at the Vic Uni Osteopathic Medical Clinic, a position he held for 5 years.

Currently Chris is a full member of the OA (Osteopathy Australia) and the chairman for the Public Relations Committee of the OA.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, water skiing and fishing.

Dr Shaun RichardsonDr Shaun Richardson

Shaun graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Sciences) and a Masters of Osteopathy, his thesis focusing on the effect of spinal manipulation on the nervous system.

Shaun grew up locally in Cheltenham and has a diverse sporting background, ranging from soccer, football and particularly basketball. He also enjoys watching nearly every other sport, and has a keen interest in treating sports injuries and ensuring athletes are able to perform at their peak.

Whilst studying at uni, Shaun worked in footwear at Rebel Sport where he was able to combine his osteopathic knowledge with his understanding of different footwear brands and styles. This has allowed him to quickly identify biomechanical dysfunctions that can be corrected through improved footwear choices.

When Shaun is not at work he keeps busy by playing basketball and spending time camping with friends.

Dr Connie PetousisDr Connie Petousis

Connie graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences, and Masters in Osteopathy which involved researching the use of compression garments on recovery in sports.

During her studies Connie worked closely with the De La Salle old collegians football club as a sports trainer.  She has a keen interest in working with prenatal and postnatal women as well as babies and children. She has also undertaken a number of courses to develop her interest in this area.

Connie strongly believes in the osteopathic philosophy of treating the cause of the pain rather than just the symptoms, and enjoys the challenges that this brings. She employs a wide variety of techniques both structural and indirect, as well as dry needling and sports taping.

In her spare time Connie loves cooking, catching up with friends and taking part in Pilates classes.

Dr Laura EllulDr Laura Ellul

Laura graduated from Victoria University as a fully qualified Osteopath with a Bachelor degree in Clinical Science and a Masters degree in Osteopathy. She is a member of Osteopathy Australia and has experience working as a sports trainer for several amateur football clubs. She has also undergone further training in dry needle therapy and applying Rock tape (Kinesio taping technique).

Laura enjoys treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and has a particular interest in treating headaches, neck/jaw pain and sporting injuries. Laura brings together her experience working as a sports trainer, as well as her own training in ballet and gymnastics to educate patients on their bodies and the way osteopathy, combined with a healthy lifestyle, can optimise health and wellbeing.

In her spare time Laura enjoys traveling and takes an active interest in her own health and fitness through running and yoga.

Dr Joanne VaughanDr Joanne Vaughan

Joanne graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences and Masters in Osteopathy. In her thesis she researched the effects of Osteopathic techniques on the hip muscles of Australian Rules Footballers.

Joanne also grew up locally in Cheltenham and while studying Osteopathy, she worked as a football trainer for Cheltenham football club and the junior players at Mordialloc Braeside. This enabled her to gain significant experience in the immediate and long term treatment of a wide range of sporting injuries. Alongside this, she has developed an interest in women's health, paediatrics and pregnancy related back and pelvic pain.

In her spare time she likes to keep active playing in numerous netball teams, skiing and travel.

Jo is currently travelling overseas and the clinic will eagerly await her return late in 2017.

Dr Julia RedfernDr Julia Redfern

Julia graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Sciences), and a Masters of Osteopathy, which researched postural instability in chronic lower back pain during functional tasks. Julia has also undertaken postgraduate study in Obstetrics and Paediatrics, to further her interest in the treatment of women, babies and children.

Having a strong interest in pregnancy and fertility, Julia provides osteopathic care for all aspects of women's health, including treatment and advice from ante-natal to post-natal stages of pregnancy, and pelvic floor strengthening for women of all ages.

Julia keeps active in a wide range of activities, including gym work, running, swimming, clinical pilates and yoga. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, drawing and catching up with friends.

Rebecca Clarke

MASSAGE THERAPIST   Dip. RM (Massage)

Rebecca Clarke is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist with a Diploma of Remedial Massage and Certificate in Health Studies in Hot Stone Therapy, and has worked at Parkdale Osteopathic Clinic since 2009.

Treatments available at the clinic are Remedial, Relaxation, Sports, Pregnancy and Hot Stone Massage. Rebecca is a member of AAMT, Healthcare Provider and Worksafe Accredited.
